Registration for 2024-2025 began on Tuesday, February 20th, packets are available in the Elementary office.
Packets are not available early and are not online. The registration forms that need to be completed should only take about 15 minutes to fill out. Once those are completed, you will be given the rest of the packet to take home and return by March 28th. If the rest of the packet is not complete by this day, your child's name will be placed at the bottom of the list.
***PLEASE DO NOT USE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION TAB it is only for grades K-12.
We will have packets for parents to fill out in the elementary office beginning at 8:00 am on the 20th.
Classes are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to register early as classes fill up quickly.
The program consists of:
a 4-day program on Tues-Fri for RETURNING PK students
a 2-day program either Tues/Thur or Wed/Fri for ALL new students regardless of age
We try hard to honor requests but that is not always possible.
Registration Guidelines:
*Students must turn 3 on or before August 1st, 2024, and be completely potty trained (unless on an IEP), to attend preschool
*3-year-olds and NEW to the program students may ONLY attend 2 days per week and are not eligible to attend more days
*Students with an IEP typically attend 2 days per week
*Free or Reduced tuition will only apply to 2 days per week
*Tuition fee amounts are based on a sliding scale; however, if you qualify for free or reduced tuition it only applies to 2 days. If you choose more than 2 days, the other days will be at full cost.
*If you live outside the school district, you will be at the bottom of the waiting list
FREE OR REDUCED TUITION ARE FOR STUDENTS WHO LIVE IN THE OTSEGO SCHOOL DISTRICT (if you are outside the district you may still attend if spots are available but you will be charged full cost).
You will need to bring in the following to register your child:
- Certified Birth Certificate
- Immunization records
- Custody papers (if applicable)
- Check (payable to Otsego BOE) or cash in the amount of $266 for the deposit/supply fee, OR $50 supply fee AND proof of income verification if you are applying for free/reduced tuition. Preschool Supplies are provided by the school. The $50 supply fee covers the cost and is charged to EVERY student regardless of tuition amount or IEP status.
To qualify for free/reduced tuition you MUST have the required income verification paperwork turned in to the office by February 29th.
Deposit/Fee checks will be processed on March 1st.
The Otsego Preschool Program has two divisions: Public Preschool and Special Needs Preschool. It is aligned with Otsego's curriculum which supports the Ohio Department of Education's guidelines and academic standards.
Otsego Preschool Program employs only certified teachers while maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio. It includes the benefits of being in an elementary school, most school assemblies, movement, recess, special visitors, etc. . the ability to purchase school lunches, and much more.
