Marti Clayton has been teaching at Otsego Elementary since 2005. After teaching integrated preschool for eleven years, she moved to 4th grade. Marti received her B.A. in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Iowa. After teaching general and special education PK-3 in the Chicago area for a number of years, she received her Masters of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. Marti loves teaching as she continues to learn and grow alongside her students and peers. She lives with her husband, Chris and step-daughter, Isabel, along with her fur babies, Scout and Obie. She has two grown children, Ian (in Chicago) and Bethany (in Montana) who live happily and independently! In her spare time, she enjoys singing in a group called Collaboration, playing her acoustic guitar, visiting family out of town and enjoying her grandchildren, reading, sewing, going out for coffee, and watching British television.
